High build quality
I bought this motherboard largely because of the Hardware Unboxed reviews praising its rock-solid VRM--which should allow the board to handle any Alder Lake CPU comfortably, more comfortably than some budget Z boards, in fact.
The MAG Mortar's features don't hurt, either--a full complement of six SATA ports, two M.2 slots with built-in heatsinks, a ton of USB ports and headers, integrated Wifi and Bluetooth, and for what it's worth, better-than-average onboard audio.
My one minor complaint is something that I thought would be a point in its favor--the pre-installed I/O shield. This actually made the motherboard harder to install, IMO, though maybe i'm just used to installing the shield separately.
Very happy with the purchase, though.. MSI makes great motherboards these days; this one is no exception.
